Home Screen
The Home Screen is built around one idea: Describe the task; Decoder routes you. It provides a universal search bar and a grid of Assistant cards.
Using the Search Bar
The search bar appears at the top center with the header “What task can I help you with today?”
- Type what you want to do in the search bar (e.g., “Help me write a sales email”, “Analyze our Q4 revenue data”).
- Press Enter or click Send.
- The Home Screen Assistant analyzes your task and available Assistants and Automations.
- You’re automatically navigated to either:
- A Conversation with the appropriate Assistant (if a chat matches)
- A Workflow Run view (if an Automation matches)
Tips for best routing: Good requests include:
- The deliverable — “write”, “summarize”, “extract”, “generate”
- The context — “from this transcript”, “using customer notes”
- The format — “bullet points”, “table”, “email draft”
Avoid vague prompts like “help” or “email”.
Assistants Display
Below the search bar is a grid of Assistant cards. Each card shows:
- Assistant name
- Assistant description
- Assistant icon (if configured)
Click an Assistant card to open that Assistant’s view and start a conversation directly, without using the search bar.
Example Queries
- “Help me write a sales email for our new product launch”
- “Analyze our Q4 revenue data”
- “Create a meeting summary from the transcript”
- “Generate a report on customer feedback”
- “Find contact information for Acme Corp”
Starting a Chat via Search
- Enter a task in the search bar.
- Click Send or press Enter.
- The Home Screen Assistant routes to an appropriate Assistant.
- A new conversation starts with your task as the first message.
Starting an Automation via Search
- Enter a task that matches an Automation (e.g., “Generate monthly report”).
- Click Send or press Enter.
- The Home Screen Assistant routes to that Automation.
- The Workflow Run view opens with inputs ready for you to fill.
Note: Automations are not shown as cards on the Home Screen—only Assistants. Use the search bar to start Automations by describing the task.
Navigation
Use the main navigation menu (sidebar) to move between:
- Home – Return to the Home Screen
- Assistants – Browse and manage Assistants
- Conversations – View past conversations
- Knowledge Base – Add and manage data sources
- Automations – Build and run automations
- Integrations – Connect external services
- Documents & Data – Templates and Data Explorer
- Settings – Company and user settings
- Administration – Users, groups, usage (Admin only)
Troubleshooting
- Search doesn’t work – Ensure the “Home Screen Assistant” exists. Refresh the page or check your network.
- Wrong Assistant selected – Rephrase your task with more context, or use the Assistant cards for direct access.
- No Assistants displayed – Check that Assistants exist and you have permission to view them.
- Workflow not starting – The Automation may need inputs; check the Run view for required fields.
