Logging In
Access Decoder using email and password, or sign in with Google or Microsoft. The login page shows the platform logo, a login form, and OAuth buttons.
Email and Password
- Open the Decoder login page
- Enter your email in Enter Email
- Enter your password in Enter Password
- Optionally check Remember me to stay signed in across browser sessions
- Click Log in or press Enter
Your session is secured with session ID rotation. If you check Remember me, a persistent token is stored so you stay signed in.
Google or Microsoft (OAuth)
- Go to the login page
- Click Log in with Google or Log in with Microsoft
- A new browser window or tab opens
- Sign in with your Google or Microsoft account
- Review and approve the permissions Decoder requests
- You’ll be redirected back to Decoder and logged in
Note: Your Google or Microsoft account email must match an existing Decoder user. OAuth does not create new accounts. If you don’t have an account, ask your administrator to add you.
Forgot Password
- Click Forgot password on the login page
- Enter your email address
- Click Request Password Reset
- Check your email (and spam folder) for the reset link
- Click the link or paste the URL into your browser
- On the Set New Password page, enter your new password and confirm it
- Ensure your password meets all requirements:
- At least 8 characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- At least one special character
- Click Reset Password
- You’ll be redirected to the login page; log in with your new password
The system does not reveal whether an email exists. You’ll see the same success message regardless, for security.
First-Time Password Setup
If an administrator created your account without a password, you’ll receive a welcome email with a set-password link. Use the same steps as Forgot Password: open the link, enter and confirm your new password, and meet all requirements.
Troubleshooting
Can’t Log In with Email/Password
- Wrong email or password – Verify both; check caps lock and typos
- Account disabled – Contact your administrator
- Account locked – Contact your administrator to unlock
- Reset – Use Forgot password to set a new password
OAuth Login Fails
- Pop-up blocked – Allow pop-ups for the Decoder domain and try again
- User not found – Your OAuth email must match a Decoder user. Ask your administrator to create an account or update your email
- Account disabled or locked – Contact your administrator
- Try email/password – If OAuth keeps failing, use email/password instead
Password Reset Email Not Received
- Spam folder – Check spam/junk
- Wait a few minutes – Delivery can be delayed
- Correct email – Ensure you entered the right address
Password Reset Token Invalid
- Expired – Tokens expire; request a new password reset
- Already used – Each token works once
- Full URL – Copy the entire link from the email
Password Requirements Not Met
Use the on-page checklist while typing. You need: 8+ characters, uppercase, lowercase, number, special character, and both password fields must match.
